Hyaluronic Acid Injections

Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the body and widely used in aesthetic medicine to restore volume, redefine contours, and enhance the harmony of the lower face. It is particularly effective in enhancing the lips, softening certain lines, and giving the face a more rested appearance, while respecting natural facial features. Results are gradual, subtle, and non-frozen, with the aim of preserving each patient’s expression and identity.
Performed in the dental office by a dental surgeon, these procedures rely on an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, ensuring precision, safety, and natural-looking results. A personalized consultation at our clinic in Mougins is systematically offered in order to define a treatment tailored to each patient’s expectations and facial morphology.

Whitening

Whitening is a long-lasting painless way to lighten teeth.
It can be done at home, with dental trays to wear at night for two weeks.

Teeth whitening must be carried out under conditions of good dental and periodontal health, which is why it is important to check beforehand the absence of carious lesions and to carry out scaling at our practice in Mougins.

Ceramic Veneers & “No-Prep” Veneers

Ceramic dental veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made shells bonded to the visible surface of the teeth to enhance the aesthetics of the smile. They can correct shape, shade, minor misalignment, and certain types of wear, while providing a highly natural and long-lasting result.
So-called “no-prep” veneers are extremely thin veneers that can, in selected cases, be placed without grinding the teeth, preserving the dental structure as much as possible. This conservative approach allows for a gentle, precise, and fully personalized smile enhancement, following a thorough analysis of occlusion and facial aesthetics.

Realignment with transparent aligners

The dental realignment treatment with personalised transparent aligners allows the teeth to be gradually moved towards their ideal position.

Unlike traditional braces, aligners are removable and virtually invisible, providing a more discreet and comfortable way to correct dental positioning issues.

The treatment can last from a few months to a few years, depending on what repositioning needs to be done.

Dental splints, bruxism and sleep apnea

Bruxism, that entails clenching or grinding of the teeth, is responsible for early dental wear.

In some cases, wearing a nighttime disocclusion splint helps protect the teeth and prevent their wear, while relieving pain in the temporomandibular joints.

In the case of mild or moderate sleep apnea, we will make a mandibular advancement orthosis.
This tailor-made device is effective in treating mild or moderate sleep apnea but also snoring produced by the vibration of the tissues during the narrowing of the airways.

The function of a mandibular advancement device is to hold the tongue and mandible forward to stretch the pharynx. This helps prevent airway obstruction and allows air to flow freely to improve oxygen uptake. Our patients will then regain quality sleep and will wake up rested.

Dental Care for Children (Pediatric Dentistry)

We welcome your children in a safe and caring environment. Whether for regular check-ups, dental treatments, or emergencies, our team ensures a balance of comfort, safety, and education. Your dental surgeon works in coordination with orthodontists to optimize jaw development and oral health, taking advantage of your child’s natural growth.
When necessary, Dr. Claire Auvergne uses MEOPA (a 50/50 mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas”), a calming and anxiolytic gas that helps children relax during dental procedures. MEOPA is safe, fast-acting, and fully reversible: it helps your child remain calm and cooperative, reduces anxiety, and makes treatments more comfortable, while allowing procedures to be performed efficiently and safely.

Inlay-Onlay

When a tooth is damaged with a cavity for example, it can be restored by an inlay or onlay.

Our dentist will take an impression and our prosthetist will make the ceramic piece that will come to rest on your tooth. This prevents from doing an invasive treatment such as carving the tooth. Inlay or onlay makes it possible to just replace the missing part of the decayed tooth.

The ceramic part will then be bonded by your dentist. This technique has many advantages over composite or amalgam fillings. It is indeed much safer and the risk of recurring decay is significantly reduced and the aesthetic result is more natural.

➳ The least invasive solution in case of decay of a tooth
➳ More durable and stronger than a simple composite

Dental prosthesis

The crowns

When a tooth is too damaged by decay, wear, fracture or following devitalization, and when it can no longer be reconstructed either by a simple composite or by an inlay or onlay, a crown might be a solution.
A crown made by our prosthetist is like an aesthetic ceramic hat that covers your tooth and restore its strength by protecting it.

Bridges

Bridges are sometimes the best option to replace a missing tooth when it is not possible to place an implant. In this technique, we choose to rely on the teeth neighboring the missing tooth to replace it.
Thanks to high-quality ceramic we use in our practise, it is a permanent and aesthetic solution to replace one or more teeth. However, it is best not to make a bridge if the adjoining teeth are healthy, as this would involve damaging them.

Removable dentures

We make complete or partly-removable dental appliances to restore aesthetics and enable chewing when several teeth are missing and the use of implants or bridges is not possible, or as a temporary solution while awaiting placement of dental implants.

Periodontics

Periodontics treats all conditions related to the gum and bone surrounding the tooth.
The periodontal diseases are mainly :

Gingivitis

It is an inflammation of the gums around the teeth due to the presence of tartar or dental plaque. The gum is then red and swollen and bleeds when brushing.
This inflammation is reversible after 10 days with good dental hygiene and regular monitoring at our dental practise where we will perform a scaling.

Periodontitis

It is the inflammation of the gum as well as the bone that surround the teeth. It is usually due to a genetic or lifestyle condition.
Smoking and tobacco use greatly aggravate periodontitis, as does poor oral hygiene as tartar accumulates along the teeth.
The bone that surrounds the teeth will thus gradually disappear and, in an advanced stage of the disease, the teeth will become mobile and risk falling.
Periodontitis is irreversible as to this day there is no known way to regenerate lost bone. However, there are ways we use in our clinic to stop and stabilise it.

Dental lesions

It is possible to restore in only one session at the practise the enamel and dentin lost following a carious lesion, a small fracture or simply tooth wear. Thanks to high-quality composite resin and its different shades we use, we will perform restorations that are highly aesthetic.

Endodontics

This treatment known as root canal consists of removing the nerve fibers present in the roots of your tooth, disinfecting the tooth and sealing it so as to keep it on the dental arch for a long time.
We will perform this treatment when the central part of the tooth, the pulp, is affected by deep decay or a dental fracture.
